What happens to my pending reimbursement if my job ends?
If your job ends, that does not automatically cancel a reimbursement that was already approved but hasn't been paid out yet.
What happens when your employment ends?
-
Your Auto-Reimbursement is canceled automatically when your employment ends.
-
An individual reimbursement that's already approved and sitting in "Pending" is not canceled, but it also won't process — the system blocks payment processing for terminated employees.
- A reimbursement that already shows "Processed" before your termination has already been paid out. This can't be reversed.
What to do:
- If you were terminated with a reimbursement still pending, reach out to [email protected] with your termination date and the reimbursement in question — otherwise it sits unpaid indefinitely, with no automatic notification to anyone.
Note: if your employment ends, you have a 30-day window to submit new one-time reimbursement requests for prior coverage gaps — but that's separate from a reimbursement that was already pending before your termination.
